Wednesday, July 27 --- Fraser Lake to Meziadin Lake

With no real stops of interest to slow us down we just kept heading down the road. From Fraser Lake it was a little owner 200 miles to the junction of the Cassier Highway. Once on the Cassier we kept our eyes open for wild life. We got lucky and were able to get a picture of a black bear eating clover by the side of the road.

We continues on to Meziadin Lake Provincial Park where we got one of the last available sites.

This is a beautiful park that has sites with the beach at your back door. With Canada's holiday coming up many campers were already there.

It would be a nice place to spend some time. Especially if you got a beach front site. We were parked up above looking down on the lake.

From our site overlooking the lake.

Tuesday, July 26th --- Lake La Hache to Piper's Glen, Fraser Lake

Traveled today through Prince George.

We stopped by a park and had lunch.

Couldn't enjoy the park as dogs weren't allowed.
Luckily we found a place in the shade just outside the park.

Prince George has a lot of parks.  Hopefully not all of them are non-pet friendly.

We got back on the highway and continued to a private campsite just outside Vanderhoof called Piper's Glen RV Resort.  It didn't have many sites but the view was wonderful overlooking Fraser Lake.  A mild breeze was blowing to keep the bugs away and we enjoyed sitting outside watching boats pull waterskiers and tubers.

Tomorrow is another day.

Monday - July 25th --- Cache Creek, BC to Lake La Hache, BC

Traveled from Cache Creek, BC to Lake La Hache, BC

Our first stop was at Clinton where last year Tessa, Julie's Mini Schnauzer had a small heat stroke.  This year we left the dogs in the rig as we walked around the town.  Didn't stay very long.

We traveled on to the 108 Mile House.

This is the front of the house and above are the various rooms.

Aren't  we cute?

Notice the toilet paper!!

The church had been added since 2007 when we were here last.

Julie's new house.

The Clydesdale Barn

The owner raised prised Clydesdales that were used in logging.

Our stop for the night where Zoie got to go swimming and Rascal and Tessa cooled off.

We found a wonderful stick that she could get when swimming.

The beach area.

Our campsite.

Sunday, July 24th

We finally disconnected the power line from the house and headed off for our adventure.

We made it to hope and took pictures very similar to the ones taken in 2007 when we traveled to Anchorage with our parents.

When we got to Cache Creek it was quite warm as you can see.

Brookside Campsite at Cache Creek, BC

85 Degrees - HOT!

We set up camp, toured the site and saw they had some wild life.  Then guess who cooked dinner?  Me!!  Can  you believe it, I cooked

That's us through the trees with the back opened.

Baby Alpackas I think.

Yes, I can cook.  Of course most of our food was premade so it was easy.
